We have developed a 301,389 sqft multi-temperature logistics platform for Biocoop that meets several objectives: to provide a modern, high-performance tool for Biocoop’s supply chain, to regenerate an industrial wasteland (an old, abandoned brickworks) by reusing a maximum of deconstructed materials, and to create a pleasant workplace for the users. In line with the ‘BiodiverCity’ label, we have also conserved and restored a listed woodland on the site and set up a biodiversity trail.
Biocoop is the leading distributor of specialist organic products in France. For more than 30 years, Biocoop has aimed to develop organic farming in a spirit of fairness and cooperation. The Ollainville building enables the co-operative to manage up to 10,000 items in storage, and to meet the strong growth in demand from its network of stores in the Centre-North-East zones.
